FC Barcelona continues to work against the clock to strengthen its squad before the market closes, and one of the names that is making the most noise at Camp Nou is Federico Chiesa. The Italian international, currently with Juventus, has expressed his desire to wear the blaugrana shirt, keeping alive the possibility of his arrival despite the interest from clubs like Liverpool and Chelsea.
The main obstacle for the operation does not lie in reaching an agreement with Juventus, but in Barcelona's economic limitations. The Catalan club must find a way to free up salary space and meet La Liga's financial fair play requirements to be able to register the player. As indicated by the newspaper Sport, if Barça manages to balance its numbers, Chiesa's signing could materialize in the coming days.
The player's willingness could be decisive in reaching an agreement
The Italian winger, 26 years old, has shown determination to wait for Barcelona, despite the interest from other European giants. Liverpool and Chelsea have shown interest in the player, but Chiesa prioritizes joining the blaugrana project, which could be a decisive factor in the negotiations.
If his signing is finalized, along with the potential reinforcements of Pau Victor and Dani Olmo, Barcelona's offensive line would take a leap in quality, despite not having managed to sign Nico Williams. The outcome of this operation will be crucial for the closure of the Catalan club's market.
