BIG NEWS: Barcelona's plan to sign Erling Haaland

Barcelona has a new target in sight: Erling Haaland. The Catalan club, getting ready to reopen the doors of its legendary Camp Nou, renovated and with a capacity for over 100,000 spectators, aims to have a grand celebration with the signing of the Norwegian striker. According to 'Daily Mail', Joan Laporta, the club president, is determined to make Haaland the new star of the team, despite the financial limitations still facing the Blaugrana entity.

Manchester City's forward has started the season spectacularly, scoring 11 goals in just 10 matches, attracting the attention of the top clubs in Europe. Although his contract with the English club runs until 2027, Barcelona's ambition to lure him to Catalonia remains strong, even though in 2022 Haaland chose to join City instead of the Blaugrana.

Haaland's Contract Renewal with Manchester City Remains Pending

Laporta has maintained a close relationship with the player's circle, which could facilitate future negotiations. In particular, his good rapport with Rafaela Pimenta, Haaland's current representative, is seen as a key factor in Barça's aspirations. The club's president had previously attempted to sign him when he was at Borussia Dortmund, and now, after his success in the Premier League and his historic treble with City, he has not given up on the chance to see the Norwegian in the Blaugrana colors.

The reopening of Camp Nou will be a symbolic event for Barcelona, and Laporta envisions Haaland leading a new golden era for the club, aiming to restore its status among Europe's elite.
