AC Milan launches bid for the signing of Gonzalo García

AC Milan is interested in signing Gonzalo García, a young center forward from Real Madrid, for the upcoming winter transfer market or for the summer, where his departure could bring in significant funds.

The rossoneri club, needing to strengthen their attack, is eyeing the young Spanish forward who, despite shining in the Club World Cup, has not yet managed to establish himself regularly in the first team of Real Madrid. The operation is seen as an opportunity for Milan and, at the same time, as a warning to the white club.

Why does AC Milan value Gonzalo García?

AC Milan faces this season with an urgent need to bolster their frontline. Gonzalo García has become one of the options they are considering. The Italian club sees his profile as ideal: trained in Real Madrid's academy, recent international debut, and young enough to adapt to Serie A.

Simultaneously, the player's lack of minutes at Real Madrid —having started only once in the first eight games of the season according to reports— fuels speculation. The rossoneri, aware that they did not address the arrival of a pure center forward in the summer, view García as a cost-effective medium-term solution. Milan's interest in the young Spaniard revolves around a loan in January with a purchase option, although Real Madrid seems hesitant to allow an early departure.

Situation at Real Madrid and potential exit scenario for Gonzalo García

For Real Madrid, Gonzalo García represents a promising asset with a contract until 2030. Despite his standout performance in an international tournament —where he scored four goals in five games and caught everyone's attention— Xabi Alonso does not seem inclined to grant him a regular role in the squad given the competition from players like Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, or Rodrygo Goes. This puts García in a challenging position: continue fighting for minutes or consider a departure to accelerate his development.

In this context, AC Milan emerges as a possible destination that would offer him prominence. However, the Madrid club does not seem willing to let him go in January under any circumstances, complicating an immediate deal.

Value and conditions of the operation

The transfer of Gonzalo García could entail a significant investment for AC Milan. According to some sources, there is an offer close to 20 million euros from Aston Villa, placing the valuation level around that figure.

However, Real Madrid, aware of his potential, may demand more or reserve a buy-back option. Milan must assess their financial capacity and the competition from other clubs, including West Ham United or Fulham FC, who are also monitoring the player.

Thus, the operation presents a triple challenge: convincing Real Madrid to release the young talent, outperforming other contenders, and establishing conditions that benefit the rossoneri without jeopardizing their sporting project.

In conclusion, the possibility of Gonzalo García joining AC Milan seems tangible, although his departure from Real Madrid is not guaranteed. The white club remains firm in keeping the player in their squad while Milan prepares the ground despite initial resistance.

Looking ahead to the next transfer window, it will be crucial to see if the economic conditions, sporting ambitions, and the player's willingness align to materialize the transfer, marking a significant move for both clubs.
