Real Madrid insists on Bastoni

Alessandro Bastoni finds himself at the center of a major operation in the European market once again. The Inter Milan defender, who had been linked to FC Barcelona for months, has shifted from being close to Camp Nou to becoming a very serious option for Real Madrid.

Flick halts a seemingly progressing operation

That's where doubts arise. Bastoni has shone at Inter within a three-center back system, with well-defined coverages and the freedom to drive towards the opposition's half. In a more exposed back four, the Barça manager isn't convinced he's the most suitable profile.

Real Madrid knows they must be precise. If they aim to secure the signing, they'll need to present a convincing offer and simultaneously understand the player's willingness. Without Bastoni's approval, the operation will be nearly impossible.

On the other hand, Bastoni faces an enticing scenario. Staying at Inter guarantees him stability, leadership, and a competitive project. Moving to Real Madrid would mean making a significant leap in visibility and competing at the most demanding club in the world.

The summer will mark the outcome. Bastoni seemed destined to wear the Blaugrana colors, but Flick's tactical veto changed everything.
