Manchester City has reached a verbal agreement with Palmeiras on Monday for the signing of Allan, a 22-year-old winger, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. A key reinforcement for Enzo Maresca's plan in this transfer market.

The deal has been finalized for a fixed amount of 40 million euros plus additional variables, with a contract signed until June 2031 for the Brazilian forward to travel to England in the next few hours for the medical examination.

The negotiation terms between Manchester City and Palmeiras

Enzo Maresca's team was looking for an immediate replacement after selling Savinho to Tottenham for over 100 million euros. Palmeiras turned down an initial formal offer of 30 million euros plus variables, rejecting the English desire to keep the player on loan at São Paulo until December and demanding the same conditions imposed in recent sales like Endrick (60 million euros to Real Madrid) and Estêvão (70 million euros to Chelsea).

The intervention of agent Paulo Pitombeira from Talents Sports broke the deadlock in the document exchange between the clubs. Allan's arrival marks the third summer addition for Manchester City, joining the signings of Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi, while the sports committee keeps the possibility open for Enzo Fernández.

Allan's profile for Enzo Maresca's tactical scheme

At 22 years old, the attacker has established himself in Verdão's first team under Abel Ferreira's guidance due to his versatility on both attacking wings and in the playmaking role. Allan excels in dribbling one-on-one, agility in movements, and defensive work in high pressing.

Maresca's coaching staff believes the player possesses the ideal traits to adapt to the physical rhythm of the Premier League. His addition strengthens Citizens' rotation on the flanks for both domestic league and the Champions League.

Allan will fly to Manchester on Tuesday, August 25, for the mandatory medical check-up at the club's facilities. Once the physical tests are passed, the Brazilian winger will sign his five-year contract until 2031 and be ready for Maresca to prepare for Manchester City's next league match.
